Hard to say. Mostly because its really up to you. What I can say is that the most recent patch has been well received generally and, overall, the game has improved enormously from launch. It is still missing a number of core features, mostly relaying to social play. You may thoroughly enjoy it as it is now. Battlefield 2042 is starting to get a hefty discount from third-party sellers, but it’s still at RRP on Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store. The different versions will cost the same in these stores: Standard Edition: $69.99 on console / $59.99 on PC ($18.99 on current sale). Worth it for the campaign. If you live in a more populated region, US or particularly europe there is a playerbase, but as an australian, the multiplayer is completely dead here. 16. _OneHappyDude. • 10 mo. ago. It also depends on what you like. I live in Europe but I strongly prefer hardcore and Conquest. On top of that, there are only a few I was desperately missing battlefield after having skipped 1 and 5 as well. Even after all the bad press of 2042. I decided to buy it this weekend though and am really liking it, even with so few guns it feels like there's still a ton to unlock and work towards. Season 4 of Battlefield 2042 doesn't have a release date set in stone just yet, but reports seem to suggest a February 28, 2023, launch. Season 4 is set to bring another new Specialist to the game Yeah I think it's worth it 50% off. I recommend the base game. No need for special editions or season pass. Performance is better for me and the new map is fun on both gamemodes. I actually got hooked on Breakthrough and I've always been a Conquest main on previous Battlefield games. Now i believe a lot of people were not happy with battlefield 5. and ive read some steam reviews and they say there are lots and lots of cheaters in the game. alltho i am really excited about battlefield 6 and i heard battlefield 5 will be on sale for 80% off that makes it 12€. BF1 is WW1 and BF4 is modern. I actually like BF1 better for BF4 has the better online activity and I think premium is free if not super cheap. 2. DrJakeX. • 2 yr. ago. Battlefield 4 is not easy to get into as noob. Its the last somewhat proper modern Battlefield. Game requires online multiplayer subscription to play on console (Game Pass Core or Ultimate, sold separately).
